Jakub Lemiszewski creates electronic music for the times of information overload and perpetual change. He was noticed by critics and art curators after the release of his DAAAMN EP in 2016, which showcased his radical version of Chicago footwork. Plunderphonic by nature, Lemiszewski draws on a range of contemporary electronic genres, such as gabber, vaporwave, juke, and PC Music. Consequently, it is hard to pigeonhole the artist’s work, though it does have certain tendencies, like eclecticism, multiple layers, glitches “spoiling” the melody, and dense, eccentric rhythms. Lemiszewski’s latest cassette, simply entitled 2019, was released in May on the Pointless Geometry label.
